As well as working to help advance the health and welfare status of women through Zonta International Projects, we:
- donate Zonta Breast Care Cushions to the local
hospitals and the Area Health Service,
- support local refuges,
- pack Zonta Birthing Kits
for overseas countries,
- support a child care worker in an Orphanage in
Vietnam, and
- help support a student in a school in Tanzania.
We also support local people in their endeavors when they meet the criteria of advancing the health and welfare of women world wide.
To encourage the professional and educational advancement of women in
our area we have annual scholarships for:
- Scholarship for Female student sitting the HSC
- Scholarship for Female studying through TAFE
We have ongoing
fundraising events to
support all these
projects. Some of the
fundraisers are an
Annual Status of
Women Dinner in
which we invite a
prominent woman
who has excelled in
this area as the Guest Speaker. We also have Movie Nights, Trivia Nights,
Dinners, Art Show, Ball and any other event that might raise money.
