Recently retired, Margaret worked for 47 years in a number of administrative and secretarial positions, the last 24 years as senior Electorate Officer to the Member for Oxley (State Parliament). So her membership classification is 2549 - something close to the classifications that cover winemaker and belly dancer, which puts it all into perspective!
At an earlier stage of her working life, Marg was in the tourism industry in the Northern Territory for 12 years. That gave her the chance to get involved in Zonta by being the Charter Secretary of the Zonta Club of Darwin (back in about 1981), when she was classified as a co-owner/operator of a motor inn and restaurant.
She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (majors in Politics and Philosophy) in 1998.
Her interests include current affairs, golf and travel - which really means that Marg is a mad keen walker of golf courses and is seen in photos from all over the world!
