Member representatives at work

The District Board is elected and Committee chairmen appointed for the duration of a Zonta Biennium – in this case 2012-2014, beginning at the close of the Zonta International Convention in Torino, Italy in July 2012.

These women represent the interests of members in District 24 and carry out the business of the District between District Conferences (which are the business meetings of the District).

District 24 conferences were held at:

• Old Parliament House in Canberra in September 2009, and
• The Glasshouse in Port Macquarie, NSW in October 2011.

Composition of the District Board

The District Board has six voting members who are elected at District Conference, and one non-voting member (the District Secretary) who is appointed by the Governor.

The voting members of the 2012-2014 District Board were elected at the 2011 District 24 Conference in Port Macquarie in October 2011.

The 2012-2014 District 24 Board serves from the close of the 2010 Zonta International Convention in  Torino, Italy in July 2012 until the close of the 2012 Zonta International Convention in Orlando, Florida, USA  in July 2014
