THE CLUB IN ACTION
Encouraging Education and Achievement
To encourage the professional and educational advancement of women in our area we fund annual scholarships:
- Scholarship for Female student sitting the HSC
- Scholarship for Female studying through TAFE
- help support a girl student at the School of St Jude in Tanzania, which was founded by District 24 Honorary Member Gemma Sisia.
For more information about these scholarships, or any other activities of the Club, please contact the Club by Email or go to Blog.
Birthing Kits
Our club packs Zonta Birthing Kits throughout the year. Birthing kits help to provide safer delivery conditions for women living in remote rural areas in various countries.
Local Projects
Our club supports local refuges which provide practical support to women escaping domestic violence.
We also support local teams or projects in their endevours when they meet the criteria of advancing the health & welfare of women worldwide.
Fundraising
We have ongoing fundraising events to support all of these projects. Some of the fundraisers are an Annual Status of Women Dinner, in which we invite a prominent woman who has excelled in this area as the Guest Speaker. We also have Movie Nights, Trivia Nights, Dinners, Art Show, Ball and any other event that might raise money – so that we can continue to improve the status of women worldwide.
WOULD YOU LIKE TO KNOW MORE

SUPPORT
You don’t need to be a member of a Zonta club to contribute to Zonta’s efforts to improve the lives of women and girls. Service projects always need money – your donation to Zonta’s work in general or to a specified local or internal project is welcomed.
