Welcome to Zonta District 24
Zonta, meaning honest and trustworthy, is derived from Lakhota (Teton Dakota), a language of the Native American Sioux peoples. It was adopted in 1919 to symbolize the combined qualities of honesty and trust, inspiration, and the ability to work together for service and world understanding.
Zonta is an energetic international organisation of volunteers who are committed to Build a Better World for Women and Girls. Our members are dedicated to using their time and skills to create positive change through advocacy and service projects.
If you want to belong to an active and caring organisation, Zonta is for you. We invite you to explore one of our clubs across NSW or the ACT or join our online E-Club.
Most Zonta clubs meet monthly, where we conduct business and enjoy the social interaction of likeminded members. We deeply appreciate the commitment of our volunteers with busy lives and many demands on your time.
WHAT WE DO
Zonta volunteers actively work to advocate for women’s gender equity, improved outcomes for women affected by climate change, and an end to violence against women and girls.
Financial support through educational award programs improve education opportunities and various service projects improve everyday lives.
Through our time, service, advocacy, and fundraising efforts, we make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and girls at the local, national, and international levels. Join us in building a brighter future for all.
We welcome visitors to our Zonta clubs spread throughout NSW and ACT.

NEWS & EVENTS
Throughout the year, there’s always Zonta activities going on. Members are busy with service projects such as making breast cushions for breast cancer sufferers. Others are involved in advocating for women and girls on topics such as homelessness, domestic violence and climate justice.
