Empowering Youth Through Social Justice Programs: The Zonta Z Clubs and Golden Z Clubs

Today's youth are passionately involved in social justice initiatives, eager to make a difference in their communities and beyond. To support and guide their efforts, we encourage and facilitate the formation of Z Clubs in schools and Golden Z Clubs in tertiary institutions, both of which are aligned with the core values and mission of Zonta International.

What Are Z Clubs and Golden Z Clubs?

Z Clubs and Golden Z Clubs are youth-led organisations that empower young people to engage in meaningful social justice activities.

These clubs provide a platform for students to develop leadership skills, promote gender equality, and work towards ending violence against women and children.

By participating in these clubs, young individuals can contribute to creating a more just and equitable society.

Z Clubs and Golden Z clubs are unique to other other clubs students may join, thanks to the school, community, and international aspects.

Why Join a Z or Golden Z Club?

  • Leadership Development: Gain valuable leadership experience and skills that will benefit you throughout your life.

  • Community Engagement: Make a tangible impact in your local community through various service projects and advocacy efforts.

  • Global Network: Connect with like-minded peers and mentors from around the world who are dedicated to social justice and equality.

  • Personal Growth: Build confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose as you work towards meaningful change.

How to Get Involved

If you are a student passionate about social justice, consider forming or joining a Z Club at your school or a Golden Z Club at your tertiary institution. These clubs provide a supportive environment for you to explore your interests, develop your skills, and make a positive difference in the world.

Z Clubs and Golden Z Clubs are sponsored by an existing Zonta club in your area. It is the responsibility of the sponsoring Zonta club to:

  • Pay the fees for the Z or Golden Z club

  • Communicate and mentor the club they are sponsoring

  • Provide resources and information to encourage service to the school and community and an international awareness

  • Liaise between Zonta International and the Z Club
