ZONTA ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR A YOUNG INDIGENOUS WOMAN
Zonta International District 24 (NSW & ACT) is working to engage in a constructive way with our Indigenous community. In its 14th year, this Award is designed to recognise and celebrate the achievements of young women of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background currently enrolled in Year 12 or the TAFE equivalent, in 2025. In 2025, all NSW/ACT Zonta clubs are being encouraged to approach their local secondary schools or TAFE college to nominate a suitable Year 12 young Indigenous woman for this Award. (More than one application per institution will be accepted.) The criteria for school or TAFE equivalent nomination will be:
A young woman who has made a marked contribution to the life of the school community through one or more of the following criteria:
• service to her school or wider community
• leadership within her school or wider community
• determination to successfully complete her secondary education
What you can do?
Award applications will be accepted by the Co-ordinator whether they are submitted through a local Zonta club or sent directly to the Award co-ordinator, on the attached form and received by close of business 4th June, 2025. Please download an application.
