Hornsby Girls High

Located: Hornsby Girls High School

The Hornsby Girls High School Z-Club has had a busy 2024, fund raising and awareness raising in support of Zonta issues and causes.

During the year the Club held a Sausage Sizzle for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, a “Women in Sport Week” to celebrate female athletes, a breakfast advocating against domestic violence, and two Ramen Rages to raise money for the Zonta Club of North Sydney’s support for the Birthing Kit Foundation.

International Women’s Day was celebrated with a lunchtime women’s issues trivia session. Awareness raising has also been a focus. The club aims to raise awareness about Zonta causes at school through creative, enjoyable forms, to allow our peers and teachers to participate and learn about these important issues.

The Club held multiple discussion groups about topics relating to women and children, where members were able to speak freely and express their opinions in a safe space.
